Modality: Fully remote, 1-2 hours every week

Industry mentors at the School of Humanity facilitate group mentorship sessions with our learners wherein they provide industry expertise to support learner projects, solutions, and career trajectories. Mentors usually join our team on an on-demand/hourly basis.

For each session, industry mentors can expect to:

• Facilitate live/group mentorship sessions with learners
• Support learners with personalized learning plans
• Guide learners with the development of projects & solutions and provide feedback

Call for mentors: Industry Areas

We are looking for mentors who have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Food, Water and Energy Security

Our industry mentors are active experts in their given fields or industries. They have experience developing and contributing solutions and contributions towards progress in their given fields. We look for practitioners, doers and pioneers in the above areas.

🤖 Qualifications & Prior Experience

Our industry mentors have industry expertise and a deep understanding of how to contribute to progress in their given disciplines. They have a commitment to our curriculum, mission, and approach and guide learners towards a path of purposeful learning.

Below is a summary of characteristics that we look for in industry mentors:

Previous experience

• 3+ years of experience in their given industry
• Experience having created or contributed a solution/project/initiative in their industry
• Experience with mentoring preferable

Skills, mindsets & dispositions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong socio-emotional skills
• Ability to coach & inspire
• Strong growth mindset
• Intellectual curiosity
