Modality: Fully remote, hourly

Quantitative facilitators oversee our learner's personalized journeys to develop quantitative skills and mathematical literacy. They conduct mastery-based workshops focused on quantitative skills. Additionally, they customize learning plans for every learners. Quantitative facilitators also manage evaluations, offer feedback, and assess progress during the learning journey, ensuring skill mastery for their designated group of learners. They guide students in crafting their unique learning trajectories and align their projects with relevant quantitative competencies.

✔️ Weekly Tasks

This is a part-time role requiring 11 hours a week of commitment.

Around 6 hours a week:

• Facilitate five hours of Quant Lab workshops (see times below). ****These timings are not flexible, and are a mandatory requirement for the role.
  • Tuesday at 8:00 - 9:00 GMT
  • Wednesday at 8:00 - 9:00 GMT
  • Wednesday at 15:30 - 16:30 GMT
  • Wednesday at 16:30 - 17:30 GMT
  • Thursday at 10:30 - 11:30 GMT
• Each Quant Lab session includes:
  • 30-minute quant challenge/problem
  • Clarifying learner questions or inquiries regarding concepts
  • Support learners on their interdisciplinary quantitative skill units
  • Plan engaging activities or experiments to reinforce quantitative concepts.
  • Check-in with individual learners to discuss their progress and tailor their learning plans.
• Oversee the personal progress of each learner across Quantitative Skills and intervene if required
• Facilitate up to 1 hour of office hours if required or needed by learners.

Around 5 hours a week:

• Design and plan a bank of outlines and slides for quantitative challenge/problem sessions for foundational and advanced learners.

****Our learners develop their mathematical literacy and quantitative skills through a combination of mastery-based practicing of concepts, and project-based units that allow them to apply their skills to tackle a real-world challenge. Previous experience

• Must have prior experience with teaching or tutoring high school mathematics
